3. The Askari Monument: The bronze statue of askari holding a rifle is a representation of honour to those (askaris) who fought the First World War(1914-1918) under the British command, it was unveiled in 1927.

4. St.Joseph's Cathedral: One of the most iconic landmarks built by German missionaries between 1897 and 1902, it is located along Sokoine Drive, close to the harbor and city center and it still remains the main church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam.
