Your adventure begins as we depart the coastal energy of Dar es Salaam for the inland horizons of Mikumi. The drive itself is a spectacle of changing flora and rural Tanzanian life. Arrive for a welcome lunch followed by an introductory game drive. Watch as the first giraffes of your trip graze against the setting sun.

Dedicate today to the diverse wildlife of Mikumi. Known for its "Mkata Floodplain," you'll likely spot buffalo, eland, and the famous tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the park, surrounded by the sounds of chattering baboons and distant zebra herds.
Today we venture deeper into the interior. As we approach Ruaha, the landscape becomes more dramatic with ancient baobabs and rocky outcrops. This is one of Tanzania's most untamed parks, where nature remains the ultimate ruler. Reach your lodge in time for an evening reflecting on the sheer scale of the wilderness.
Explore the Great Ruaha River, the lifeblood of this ecosystem. Ruaha is home to massive elephant populations and prides of lions that are known for their strength. Track leopards through the dense bush and keep your binoculars ready for over 570 species of birds.
After a final morning glimpse of Ruaha’s wildlife, we transition to Nyerere National Park. The atmosphere shifts from dry savanna to a lush riverine environment. Arrive by evening, where the cool breeze from the Rufiji River welcomes you to your new home.
Today, we swap the car for a boat. Drifting down the Rufiji River offers a unique perspective on wildlife. See hippos yawning in the water, crocodiles basking on the banks, and elephants coming to the shore to drink. It is a peaceful yet thrilling day of water-based exploration.
