Why This 6-Day Safari & Beach Combo Is Special

What makes this tour unique is how smoothly it blends modern travel, nature, culture, and beach luxury. From riding the SGR electric train, hiking the Uluguru Mountains, enjoying game drives in Mikumi, to relaxing on the white-sand beaches of Zanzibar, every day offers a new experience without rushing. This is not just a holiday, it’s a journey designed to help travelers slow down, reconnect, and fully enjoy Tanzania.

Daily Itinerary

The adventure begins in Dar es Salaam, where you board the modern SGR electric train and travel in comfort and style to Morogoro town. This scenic journey offers beautiful views of Tanzania’s countryside and sets a relaxed tone for the trip.
Upon arrival in Morogoro, the focus shifts to nature with a guided hike in the Uluguru Mountains. The hike leads you to the stunning Choma Waterfalls, passing through lush forests and local villages.
This experience allows travelers to connect with nature while learning about the daily life of the Waluguru community. After the hike, you continue to Mikumi National Park, arriving in the late afternoon. The day ends at Camp Bastian Lodge.

Dedicated full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park, famous for its open savannahs. You will explore key areas such as the Mkata Floodplain, where large herds of elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, and wildebeest are commonly seen.
Lions are frequently spotted resting in the shade, while hippos and crocodiles dominate the water pools. A hot lunch is served during the safari. As the sun sets, you return to Camp Bastian Lodge for dinner and overnight.

On the 3rd day, the safari experience is enriched with culture. You will visit a nearby Maasai cultural village, where you learn about Maasai traditions, pastoral life, traditional dances, fire-making skills, and handmade beadwork. After the visit, you return to Dar es Salaam, where you check into a CBD hotel for an evening stay.
Alternative Start: For travelers already in Zanzibar, the trip can also begin with a ferry from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam, followed by accommodation at a CBD hotel.
Engaging in Maasai dance culture

On day 4, you take a ferry back to Zanzibar Island and check into the historic Bellisimo boutique in Stone Town. The rest of the day is free to relax, explore narrow streets, visit local markets, or simply enjoy the ocean views. Stone Town offers a rich mix of history, culture, and Swahili architecture.
A ferry to Zanzibar

Day 5 is a full-day Zanzibar excursion. You start with Jozani Forest, home to the rare Red Colobus monkeys, followed by a visit to Salaam Cave, where you can swim with sea turtles in crystal-clear natural waters. The day ends at Mtende Beach Cave, one of Zanzibar’s most peaceful and hidden coastal spots.

The final day delivers a true Zanzibar highlight. You head to Mnemba Island for snorkeling with clear waters and colorful marine life. Dolphin sightings are common.
