After the cultural immersion, you will embark on a scenic hike through banana and coffee plantations to reach the stunning Materuni Falls. Cascading from a height of 70 meters into a pristine mountain pool, the falls offer a refreshing swim that perfectly rewards your hiking efforts. It’s an ideal escape for nature lovers and those seeking a genuine taste of Tanzanian highland life.
- 08:30 AM: Kai Tours pick-up from your hotel in Moshi for a scenic drive up the Kilimanjaro slopes.
- 09:15 AM: Arrival at Materuni Village. Begin your tour at an organic Chagga 'Shamba' (farm).
- 10:00 AM: Hands-on coffee processing: Learn how to harvest, hull, roast, and grind beans while enjoying traditional songs.
- 11:00 AM: Savor the freshest cup of coffee you've ever tasted, overlooking the lush mountain valleys.
- 11:30 AM: Start the 45-minute trek to the waterfall. Your guide will highlight local flora used in traditional medicine.
