Daily Itinerary
Upon arrival, you will be greeted with warm hospitality and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. If time allows, you can do various activities around the city such as visiting the Cultural Heritage Site, Masai and local food markets, and canoeing at Lake Duluti.
Pickup from the hotel and drive to Tarangire. During the 2-hour transfer, enjoy scenic views of the grassland. Tarangire is famous for its concentration of elephants and ancient baobab trees. You will likely encounter lions, leopards, buffaloes, and many birds. Pausing for a picnic lunch before exploring until evening.
The 4-hour drive will take you through the Ngorongoro Crater highlands. Serengeti is known for its annual migration. You will encounter lions, leopards, wildebeests, giraffes, hippos, and buffaloes. Catch the sunset before heading to your accommodation inside the park.
Enjoy an early morning game drive before sunrise when predators are active. Afterwards, proceed with an en route game drive towards Ngorongoro Crater highlands. Arrive at your lodge in the late evening for relaxation.
Descend into the largest intact caldera in the world. This provides the best opportunity to see the Big Five on a single drive. Pause for lunch at the hippo pool picnic site. Later, ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha.
