Every year, from July to September, around 2 million wildebeest, zebras, and half a million calves embark on this incredible trek in search of green pastures and water.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Northern Serengeti (Mara River)

Arrive at Arusha Airport for your flight to the Northern Serengeti. Upon landing, meet your professional guide and transfer to the lodge with an introductory game drive. Serengeti is well-known for its migrating herds and resident predators: leopard, cheetah, and lion. Overnight at Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge.

Day 2: Tracking the Migration Herds

Spend a full day following the great migration along the Mara River. Witness the tension of river crossings where crocodiles wait. Return to the lodge for a hot lunch before heading out for an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at Lemala Lodge.

Day 3: Balloon Safari & Big Cat Tracking

Experience a unique safari from the sky with a sunrise hot-air balloon flight. Witness the vast beauty of the park from above, followed by a bush breakfast with champagne. Spend the afternoon searching for big cats until evening. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Departure via Kogatende Airstrip

Final breakfast in the wilderness. Check your belongings and flight details carefully. Drive to the Kogatende airstrip for your flight back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport to connect with your journey home.
